Cosawove Workwear™ on Cargill and Ardent Mills: A Case Study in Women's Maternity Workwear Solutions

Cosawove Workwear™ was born from a passion to find real workwear solutions for women in non-traditional industries. We are dedicated to addressing the needs of underserved workers by providing inclusive workwear that prioritizes comfort and safety for all genders, sizes, and body types. Our story with Cargill exemplifies our commitment and ability to transform challenges into successes.

The Challenge

In 2022, Cargill faced a significant challenge: finding it hard to procure maternity flame-resistant (FR) wear needed for their female employees. As a result, female workers lacked the appropriate, safe, and comfortable workwear necessary for their demanding roles. Recognizing the urgency and importance of this need, Cargill turned to Cosawove Workwear™ for a solution.

Our Solution

We began our relationship with Cargill by providing maternity FR wear that was not available anywhere else globally. Our approach was driven by the immediate necessity to ensure that Cargill's female employees could work safely, comfortably and belong as a part of their team.

Expanding Our Services

The success of our initial offerings led to a broader partnership. Beyond maternity FR wear, we began supplying Cargill with a wide range of uniforms and apparel, including:

  • Uniforms
  • Workwear
  • Corporate apparel
  • High-visibility wear
  • FR wear
  • Outerwear
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Safety Boots

Additionally, we introduced our mobile boot store, traveling across the U.S. to provide on-site services and further support Cargill’s diverse workforce.

Extending the Partnership to Ardent Mills

Our successful collaboration with Cargill did not go unnoticed. Cargill introduced us to their joint venture company, Ardent Mills. Recognizing the value and quality of our products, Ardent Mills awarded us their full women's contract. This expanded our reach and underscored our reputation as a reliable and innovative supplier of women’s workwear.

Women's Workwear Initiative™

Inspired by the needs of companies like Ardent Mills, we launched the Women's Workwear Initiative™. This initiative is dedicated to providing uniforms tailored to each individual's needs, reflecting our commitment to gender equity and inclusion. We discovered that women were not the only underserved group, leading us to develop inclusive solutions for all workers.

Testimonials:

Our commitment to excellence is echoed in the testimonials from our partners:

Adonica Rodriguez, Indirect Material & Services Buyer at Ardent Mills:
"Cosawove Workwear™ is an agile woman-owned supplier within our supplier diversity portfolio. They are not a specialized women’s uniform company, but when they heard that women’s uniforms and maternity uniforms didn’t exist, they made it their mission to bring women-focused options to Ardent Mills and ultimately to their larger customer base."

Cargill Diversity Supplier Team:
"Operations uniforms haven't always been inclusive, especially for women. That is why we're purchasing from a woman-owned business to supply more inclusive uniforms to our teams… dare we even say a perfect fit? When it comes to working in operations, uniforms haven’t always accounted for people with varying body types — especially women. That’s why, through our supplier diversity efforts, we’re working with woman-owned apparel business Cosawove Workwear™ to supply more inclusive uniforms to women in some of our facilities."

Conclusion

Cosawove Workwear™ is proud to support companies like Cargill and Ardent Mills by providing innovative, inclusive, and comfortable workwear solutions. Our journey with Cargill and Ardent Mills alike demonstrates how we can help other businesses find success in workwear and uniforms, ensuring all employees are equipped to work safely and comfortably. We are committed to continuing our mission of inclusivity and excellence in workwear for all.
